A NAME CLEARS DOUBTS
Our combat system, whatever you want to call it (Luta Livre, Luta Livre Esportiva or its evolution called Brazilian Luta Livre) is a martial art.
At least at the level of development in which we develope it, Brazilian Luta Livre long time ago has mutated from being a system of very effective techniques towards an evolution that led it to become a martial art. This is already known and demonstrated enough not to have to be discussed.
Like any martial art, those who have the highest level of ranks (called Danes or Degrees) are the ones who others must follow, because their experience, wisdom and lineage are respected.
With the above, the mention of a single name would answer the question “Why us? And that name is João Ricardo.
If a Federation of a martial art is led by one of the greatest leaders in its history who, in addition, is its highest degree in activity, it’s logical that all those who are true martial artists of that discipline align themselves within that entity, only due to the fact that its greatest Grand Master is the one who lead it. The leader is he or whoever he designates; and in this case Grand Master João Ricardo, in person, is the President.
Anyone can agree with all the decisions or differ in them (which are why they are discussed and agreed upon) but the family of a martial art must be united, everyone working together, each one offering their points of view when they consider necessary, changing to improve and, above all, accompanying the leader like true martial artists.
Since the greatest living Grand Master of a martial art is involved, what the rest of us must do is follow him and help him improve in everything possible, both with our work and our proposals.
PROFESSIONALS WITH COMMITMENT
In addition to the fact that the leadership of Grand Master João Ricardo represents prestige and lineage, IBLLF has on its staff different professionals who are experts in their areas to develop the art of Brazilian Luta Livre, supporting its instructors and providing the best for them and their students.
We support the Instructors, we train them, we give them opportunities to organize tournaments, seminars, etc. to help them develop with the goal that they grow as instructors, as coaches and grow economically.
We plan everything with the objectives of making Brazilian Luta Livre better every day and providing the best to our members.
MUCH MORE THAN TOURNAMENTS
For years, IBLLF's task was to generate instructors in different countries outside Brazil and support them in their work, postponing the organization of tournaments for when circumstances were favorable.
This task is very difficult, hard and silent because it is easy to organize tournaments in a place where many competitors live; it’s just a matter of sitting down and reaping the fruits that others generated. The difficult thing is to plant them; and that was what IBLLF did through World Team Martial Arts (whose leader is Master Rolando Carrizo Ortiz) with the support of the Budokan Team (of Grand Master João Ricardo).
